I just started playing this Facebook app, but it seems enjoyable. You buy food items using coins you earn as prizes/logging in. You can also win proterties and collect sets of them to earn bonuses and unlock new prizes! No real prizes here yet, but if your looking for a fun way to kill some time you might enjoy this app.
You also earn credits that can be used to play games that pay you coins. This feature is a little buggy but the app developer is aware and working on it. Play the games at your own risk!
You can also earn coins by completing offers or purchasing them with real cash. Peel a Meal today!

Well I had taken a long break from using any of the Facebook apps until a friend showed me "Fish Rangler". A simple but highly addictive app!
Basically you fish and get gold and points for fish you catch. You can use this gold and points to buy a better fishing rod, buy bait, a boat and to research skills....these all help you catch bigger and more fish. You can have night fishing parties and fish while you are offline, they also have a monthly tournament where players can win prizes.
As you use your fishing rods and boat you gain experience for them helping you be even more successful in catching fish and taking less time to travel from lake to lake with your boat....there is a lot to this simple app and the creator is adding more regularily.
So come on! Lets go Fishing!

Roll The Brim To Win
At first I thought this was a great application, but it didn't take long to find out it had a major drawback. Based on the "Roll up the Rim" contest at Tim Hortons, this application gives you "Brimbucks" for inviting friends and doing offers. You also get $5 Brimbucks every 5 hours you login.
You use your Brimbucks to buy coffee at $1 a cup. You get to roll up the rim of the cup and win itemsTim's Cards or Brimbucks, get 5o matching items and you get Tim's cards in different amounts...$50,$25 and $10 Tim's Cards. Each time you get "Try Again" you get an entry into a draw on Tuesdays.
So far it sounds great doesn't it? WAIT! Remember the major drawback I mentioned? Well this application also gives you the option to try and win a $500 Tim Horton's Card or a Hockey Jersey...they make it seem like you won the chance...when you go to claim these 2 prizes it takes you to a page outside of Facebook where they say you'll be entered in a draw each time you answer a question they send by cellphone. Turns out the cost of the Trivia Game are $2.00 CDN per question. They say they will send 4 questions each week and that by answering a question correctly you have a chance to win fantastic prizes....some people are claiming they send a lot more questions than 4 a week. Several each day in fact. I can't verify that, but it wouldn't surprise me!
In all fairness, it does tell you it costs $2 per question,if you take the time to read the disclaimer, and they do tell you how to cancel it by cellphone, e-mail and a 1-800 number....but a little fishy all the same.

Birthday Alert!
A simple but usefull application for keeping track of your friend's birthdays. Never miss another birthday because you were distracted with your everyday life. "Birthday Alert" posts upcoming birthdays on your profile and you can even set it up to send you e-mail and cell phone alerts when someone's birthday is approaching.
It also has a calander that with show holidays and birthdays and you can even add your own events to it. You can also see how many days left until each friends birthday in another area....never miss a friend's birthday again!

Social Slots
This is an aplication that gives you the chance to win prizes. Can't say I like this application much. You win prizes by playing in slot machine Tournaments, to enter tournaments you need "Tickets" and "Coins". Coins are earned by playing slots and tickets are earned by sending invites to your friends and winning them in tournaments.
If your into sitting in front of a virtual slot machine for hours then maybe you'll like this game. The tournaments are boring and you can pretty well place in the top ranks by doing nothing,lol. You start tournaments with 1000 coins and whoever has the most wins, from what I've seen most players try a few chances at the slot and hope they get a big score right away, or they do nothing and finish in the top ranks with the 1000 credits they started out with. BORRRING!
They do play for some cool prizes, but the whole concept is sort of mindless to me. Is there something I'm missing? Let me know!

World T.V.
Want to watch T.V. from Facebook? This application allows you to do so. Not for everyone though as you need high speed internet in order to get the streaming video and even then it may still be somewhat "choppy".
You can view tv channels, docummentaries and movies....I haven't had any problems viewing the movies and documentaries but some of the tv channels do not come through such as ESPN, The History Channel and others. Many do work such as Fight T.V., 247Wresling, Animal Planet...perhaps the others where just having temporary problems when I was checking them out.
Most of the movies are older ones, but there are a few newer ones mixed in among the old ones. Great if your cable is out but the internet works,lol. I like the selection of documentaries, but once again it can be frustrating to watch if you don't have a good internet connection. Not a great app, but not a bad one either!

Human Pets
This app is a cute action type application where you can buy and sell your friends as "Human Pets". You earn points by logging in,viewing random profiles,selling pets...often auction battles begin when someone buys one of your "pets". A friend of mine kept buying my brother from me until finally I let her have him, but then I turned around and bought her,lol. She wasn't cheap either!
This application has actually changed its whole look recently. I have yet to check it out fully, but the general concept is the same. A fun application that can amuse you and your friends. Maybe you can own me some day! ;)

Just a post to vent! I don't know about you, but I'm a little tired of seeing this notice. Is the problem with Facebook or with the applications? Some apps seem to have this problem more than others so I'm assuming the problem origionates from the applications, or possibly from both ends....who knows...just get it fixed!

Tycoon
Another game app, "Tycoon" is a type of business investment game with a twist. You start with $10,000,000 and earn extra cash by sending gifts to friends and by them sending you gifts. Use this money to "Invest". Once you invest in a business you must try and win ownership by getting the high score in a game of HiLow(cards game). If you get the high score the business is added to your Assets where you can leave it or cash it in for more cash to play with.
Little bit of skill and a little bit of luck involved, but a nice game app that will keep you occupied for a bit. So far I have 2 Hockey teams as assets, 80 million when I cash it out! Investments start at $1,000,000 and go up to $5,000,000. The higher the investment amount, the larger the value of the asset will be.
This game is so addictive partly due to the fact it can be so frustrating!The HiLow game can frazzle your nerves if your not careful. The HiLow part of the game also takes about 30 seconds to load so you'll need a bit of patience there.

Parking Wars!
Just came back from visiting my Brother and he introduced me to another addictive game application! "Parking Wars" is a great little game where you Park cars and earn cash. Each of your friends who have the app get their own street and they can give you a ticket if they catch you parking on their street illigally. Of course you can also ticket them if they park illigally on your street.
They start you out with 3 streets so you can get started playing right away even if none of your friends join, so don't be surprised if you see someone parked on your street who is not one of your friends.
The value of a parked car goes up over time. The longer a car is parked, the faster its value increases. In the first hour, a car earns $1 per minute, in the second hour it earns 2$ per minute, and so on. After 12 hours, a parked car will reach its maximum value ($5,560) and no longer increase in value.
Whenever you move one of your cars from one parking space into another you "cash it in" -- the car's current value is added to your score, and then it starts over again at $100 in the new spot.
Most parking spots have signs that limit which cars can legally park there.Sometimes you won't be able to find any legal spaces, but it's usually better to park illegally than leave a car unparked. Be aware -- occasionally, an existing sign will change into another type of sign while your parked there.
Whenever a car is parked in an illegal spot, the owner of that street can issue that car a ticket. The size of the ticket is equal to the car's current value, this amount is taken from the violator and given to the owner of the street. Ticketed cars are immediately towed and become unparked.
Because parked cars go up in value over time, choosing when to give a ticket can be tricky. The longer you wait, the more the ticket will be worth, but the greater the risk that the violator will move their car, taking the value for themself.

Remember the classic strategy game Risk? This application is a Facebook version of the game and I must admit it is very good. You can play your friends turn by turn or you can play a live game with someone. Refer your friends and you get extra armies!

We Love Tim Hortons!
Being Canadian this app is close to my heart. Tim Hortons is a Canadian tradition and the main reason most of us are overweight! This app lets you send a virtual Tim Horton's coffee and items to your friends. The more items you give to your friends the more items you unlock and can send. You start off with a Coffee, then a Plain Timbit, then a Double Double, then a white Timbit.....
This is a fun little app that lets your friends know you are thinking of them. Might not mean much to you if your not Canadian though eh?

Click a Day for Breast Cancer
In keeping with helping others this Facebook application donates money towards free mammograms for women. A worthy cause as just about everyone knows someone who has been effected by cancer. Just in my own life I have lost both parents and a good friend to cancer, get this app and make a difference! I also have 2 friends that are breast cancer surviors,early detection helps which is why this application is so important!

This was my very first Facebook application and I still use it today. This Application helps feed starving children. Each click by you and your friends gives a meal to a child in an impoverished nation. This is made possible through the United Nation's World Food Program and Give Team. Such a simple act does so much! You may only click once per day per person.
Using this facebook application I have fed 140 children! You get points for inviting others. Points have no value except to recognize you as a contributer and show your contributer rankings against others using this app.
